About the Club

The Naval & Military Club today:

Established in 1881,The Naval & Military Club is one of Melbourne’s oldest and most respected Clubs. Founded for officers of The Navy & Military, today the Club invites membership from men and women across many sectors from business, government and the armed service.

Welcome to your Club:
The Naval & Military Club Melbourne provides a comfortable and congenial environment in which to develop friendships and strengthen social and business relationships.

The easy affability of members is matched by the warm hospitality of Club staff. The Club offers a crowded calendar of events and special occasions together with extensive facilities and other services.

Boutique Accommodation:
The Club has recently refurbished its boutique-style accommodation which now provides 18 elegantly appointed, rooms and suites. 

A welcoming home-away-from-home, each has state-of-the-art amenities including internet access and cable television. Room service and a complimentary continental breakfast are all part of Club service while room rates are most competitive.

• The Streeton Room
The Club’s formal dining room is to be enjoyed for its exceptional  food and beverage, and service, as well as the art collection by celebrated artist, Sir Arthur Streeton found upon its walls

• The Terrace Garden
Now is the time to book your function in this wonderful garden space and bar designed by the well respected, garden designer, Paul Bangay. It is sure to be one of the most sought after event places for social and corporate functions.

• Function rooms and meeting spaces
These can be transformed to meet the requirements of your business or social requirements whatever the time of day.

• Multimedia Presentation Facilities
These also include the option of video conferencing.
 
• Business Centre
Your office away-from-the-office with its efficient services and  facilities.

• Two bars
For a quiet drink or celebration with friends and other members.

These include the Club’s extensive library and, for more active pursuits, two new squash courts or the superb billiard room.

Convenience of location:
Situated at the treasury end of Little Collins Street, the Club is ideally located close to Melbourne’s cultural and sporting venues as well as to the Central Business District. 

It is within easy walking distance of the theatres, the Arts Centre and the National Gallery, and in close proximity to the Melbourne Cricket Ground and Melbourne Park Tennis Centre. 

The Naval & Military Club is close to tram or train stations while commercial car parking facilities are located directly opposite the Club.
